Was in a very creative mood today...Was reminiscing school days and the stuff we used to make in the arts and crafts classes....:)....Remembered this particularly simple tissue flowers and thought I'd give it a try...:)...Also clicked step-by-step photos so that I could share the joy...try it...It works as a good centre-piece and also gives you the happiness of having made something yourself that looks so pretty and with hardly any effort....:)
Materials required for the bouquet-
1)Tissue paper
2)Thread/wool
3)Scissors
4)Sketch Pens
5)Toothpicks(Optional)
6)Green Crepe Paper(Optional)
Directions for making the bouquet-
1)Cut the ends of the tissue paper and fold into a fan(small horizontal folds altenating between top and bottom). The photo below will give a better understanding of this step....:)
2)Fold in half and tie a string through the centre.
3)Carefully pull each layer up.Make sure you do it slowly or you'll end up tearing it!
4)Now hold the petals together and colour the ends using sketch pens. This is an optional step but the flowers look much prettier this way...:)
5)Poke a tooothpick at the bottom and set the flowers in a vase. You can also make tiny crepe paper leaves to give the bouquet a more realistic look...:)
6)Perfume the flowers with sweet smelling perfume....:)
