HAPPY B'DAY MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI!!

Just came to know it's the Indian Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni's b'day!Thought his b'day would be a great day to commend this Indian cricket legend...:)

2007: Under Mahendra Singh Dhoni's leadership, India won the inaugural T20 World Cup after beating Pakistan in the final.

From a quiet debut against Bangladesh in 2004, to winning the 2011 World Cup, India’s favourite skipper has come a long way.Initially recognized as an extravagantly flamboyant and destructive batsman, Dhoni has come to be regarded as one of the coolest heads to captain the Indian ODI side.
It was under his captaincy that India climbed to No. 1 in the ICC Test Rankings in December 2009.
After winning the 2011 World Cup for India against Sri Lanka on 2nd April 2011 with his match winning knock of unbeaten 91, Tendulkar heaped praises on Dhoni, claiming him to be the best captain he has played under. Tendulkar also mentioned that it was Dhoni's calm influence that was rubbing off on all his team-mates and even under such extreme pressure from every corner the way Dhoni handles it and brings the best out of him was just incredible. Saurav Ganguly also said in an interview to a news channel that Dhoni is the all time greatest captain of India and he has a great record to support this credential.

What a knock that was!
2005, Visakhapatnam: Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced his arrival in style against Pakistan, smashing 15 fours and 4 sixes enroute to a superb knock of 148 in just his fifth ODI. This powered India to a superb first innings total of 356/9, and they went on to win by 58 runs. The 'Jharkhand Jadoogar' hasn't looked back ever since.

The four match series saw India claim yet another ODI series win abroad. Fresh from the T20 WC debacle in England, Dhoni rallied the side to a 2-1 series win against Chris Gayle's West Indies side. Dhoni was again at it with bat, hitting a series best 95 runs.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni got married to childhood friend Sakshi Singh Rawat on July 4, 2010 in Dehradun. The wedding was a totally private affair.

Man-of-the-Match Mahendra Singh Dhoni struck 91*, and brought up the winning runs with a six, as India beat Sri Lanka by 6 wickets to win the 2011 World Cup.
